With three major exhibits, including the Fischer Bird Gardens, the Tropical Bird House, and the Birds of the World Bird Run, this is a must see for bird lovers. There are over 800 specimens for you to watch and you will certainly see some you haven’t seen before here.

There’s also a petting zoo, small water park, concession stands, and an animal themed carousel. This zoo is simply wonderful for visitors of all ages. It’s also open seven day a week, making this a great weekend destination for school kids.

The Houston Texans, owned by Bob McNair, mark their sixth year with the 2010 season. When at home, The Houston Texans play at Reliant Stadium, which is a beautiful and loud venue for an NFL game. Tailgating is almost as popular as the Houston Texans football, with many people arriving at the stadium as early as 8 am. If you don’t feel like grilling out on game day, you can visit a number of different restaurants, including Papa John’s Pizza and Prince’s Burgers.
